After undergoing years of major restoration and renovation, two historical buildings in Singapore's downtown Civic and Cultural District have been transformed into The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore. 

Made up of Capitol Building, a former theater whose gathering hall remains part of the design, and Stamford House, a former retail space and once an annex of the famous Raffles Hotel, the Kempinski opened its doors at the start of October as the luxury brand's first foray into the island state.

The neoclassical design of the original buildings is preserved, supported by Adamesque patterns and luxurious 20th-century England-style interiors, blended seamlessly with the comfort of modern facilities. The 157 elegant rooms are decked out in warm Champagne tones complemented by glossy chengal wood floors, with rates from B13,361 inclusive of breakfast.

The building also houses a high-end mall, Capitol Piazza and Capitol Theatre, while the hotel features its own spa and gym (in-room massage available on request).
