Thonglor's Franco-Chinese fine-dining player now does a la carte
Asian flavors meet European techniques.
Prelude, Thonglor's Franco-Chinese fine-dining player, has unveiled an a la carte menu.
Up until now, the restaurant, which opened in late-2017, has been dealing solely in tasting menus that blend Asian flavors and European techniques—these remain (B850/three courses, B1,250 for six), but now you'll be able to rock up unannounced to order some of their transnational fare to go with a bottle of organic wine (or two).
These dishes include the fall-off-the-bone Sticky Ribs (pork ribs marinated in kapi served with "Asia" coleslaw, B575/850) and All About Onions (B250), an all-veggie attempt at a bak kuh teh sabayon.
As before, the comforting flavors take cues from the partners' Singaporean and Taiwanese heritage, with ingredients drawn mostly local farmers and artisanal suppliers. On this front, a flourless chocolate cake with smoked ganache (B250) shows off cacao beans from Chanthaburi, and makes a lip-smacking end to your meal.
Prelude is also one of 60 restaurants participating in the inaugural BK Restaurant Week, which offers amazing three-course menus at the biggest names in Bangkok for just B1,000++. Check out their menu here.
