It's time to wine, dine and chill at Perth’s biggest food festival once again
Let the wine flow like a river
If having epicurean adventures at one of the world’s most famous wine regions or munching on canapes while cruising along the Indian Ocean sounds like your thing, you’re in for a treat. The Margaret River Gourmet Escape in Perth is returning for its seventh installment from Nov 16-18, and promises a stunning line-up of 45 events in more than 25 unique and breathtaking locations.
Back for a second helping, food writer and television personality Nigella Lawson will be joining the festival and taking part in a series of events including the iconic Gourmet Beach BBQ and Nigella’s Tea Party. Fans can also get their book signed at the Gourmet Village in Leeuwin Estate, where over 120 artisan food producers, winemakers and brewers will be gathered.
This year's festival welcomes Singapore’s own Julien Royer from Odette, which made it into this year’s World’s 50 Best Restaurants List at number 28. Other first timers making their debut at the festival include Skye Gyngell (Spring), Masterchef’s Monica Galetti and Chef’s Table's Niki Nakayama.
In addition to the regular programes like Feast in the Forest, Fraser Gallop Estate Long Lunch and Dining by Twilight at Margaret River’s Secret Garden, other favourites will also be returning— join father-son duo Jack and Rick Stein (Wills Domain) as they discuss the sustainability of seafood, or sail with Guy Grossi (Garum) as he treats you to an Italian canape reception on board a twin-catamaran. Wine-lovers, look forward to the Cullen Chardonnay Tasting & Lunch with Tetsuya Wakuda (Waku Ghin).
