This could be New Delhi’s hippest hotel.

Aerocity, New Delhi’s futuristic-sounding business district, has just welcomed India’s sixth Aloft-branded hotel.

Targeting digital nomads and traveling hipsters, Aloft New Delhi Aerocity (goo.gl/tpkq7K) sits a mere 10 minutes’ drive from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport Terminal 3, and close to the business centers like Cyber Hub and Worldmark.

The 253-room property pops with vibrant colors and curated art pieces, with mod cons like Wi-Fi, self-service snack bar and outdoor pool a given. Rooms go for around 6,499 INR per night (a shade over B3,000).

In keeping with the hotel brand’s young, urbane positioning, the hotel’s W XYZ Bar regularly hosts local bands at their Live at Aloft sessions.

Speaking of live music, Aloft has just announced the 2018 edition of Project: Aloft Star (www.projectaloftstarasia.com) talent-spotting contest, which will see artists from across the Asia-Pacific region vie for a chance to battle it out at a grand finale to be held at Aloft Seoul Myeongdong on Sep 20. Entries are open now until Jul 31. Last year’s final in Perth Australia featured Thailand’s own hiphop trio Staygold and was won by Indonesia's Mr Headbox.

Further Aloft hotel openings are planned for Langkawi, Malaysia, by the end of this year and Kathmandu, Shanghai and Bali in 2019.
