Good news for budget hipsters in eastern Bangkok: Japanese clothing brand Uniqlo is opening its first standalone store in Thailand this Friday (Mar 23) on Patthanakan Soi 58.

Uniqlo will also be giving away totes, limited at 200 bags per day and starting at 10am from today through Mar 22. This sign-up link also lets you personalize your bag: www.hiiamuniqlo.com . Your tote will then be available for pick-up at the store on Patthanakan Soi 58 on Mar 23.

Uniqlo already has a few standalone, roadside stores in the Japanese cities of Owariasahi, Kashiba, and Kasugai, but Bangkok’s opening will count a first for a roadside Uniqlo in Southeast Asia.
