From your screens to exhibition halls—Carousell goes offline to host a two-day physical flea market
Will Ed Sheeran’s tickets also be on sale?
Everyone’s favorite mobile classifieds marketplace app, Carousell, will be having a field day with more than 400 popular Carousellers who’ll be hawking their goods at the two-day Carouselland marketplace on Jun 24-25. Expect the likes of @vintagewknd who’ll be letting go of affordable vintage threads or @hey.izzy who’ll be showcasing her collection of upcycled home decor.
We can’t say for sure if tickets for Ed Sheeran’s sold-out gig will be on sale, but what we do know is that you can literally shop till you drop at Carouselland as there’ll be a whooping total of 600 booths selling new and pre-loved items, retro collectibles and games, lifestyle gadgets and homemade knick-knacks across Suntec City Exhibition Halls 401, 402 and 403. To make shopping easier, Carouselland has been divided into four themed-zones—Alice in Wonderland, Harry Potter, Wizard of Oz and Once Upon A Time—to help you find exactly what you’re looking for.
If you’re a little knackered from all that walking and sifting through piles of clothes, head over to the Retro Gaming Corner, courtesy of Carousell user @retrorider. Here, you can take a break and play old school arcade games like Tetris, Contra (on a Nintendo Famicom System, no less), and even Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on Super Nintendo. Otherwise, rent a Gameboy and keep yourself occupied until you’re ready to go for another round of shopping.
Admission is free, but you need to register online here.
