Changwon Express, Asoke's specialty Thai craft beer bar and Korean-Mexican fusion restaurant, is launching another beer of its own, called the Chao Phraya Stout.

After launching Asoke Pale Ale, a beer designed to cheer you up after being stuck in the famous traffic at Asoke, Ted Ahn, the bar's friendly Korean owner, is back with his second launch.

Like Asoke Pale Ale, Ahn has the Chao Phraya Stout brewed in Korea before legally importing it to Bangkok. Unlike most other Thai craft beers, it also comes in a can rather than a bottle.

The packaging depicts famous scenes along the Chao Phraya, like Asiatique's ferris wheel, Rama VIII Bridge and Wat Arun.

Light bodied and with hints of coffee beans and dark chocolate, Chao Phraya Stout isn't just suitable for Thailand's heat, but is also designed to look as murky as Bangkok river water.

Changwon Express will hold an official launch party for the beer on Jun 7, where they'll serve it both on tap and in cans for B200.

Changwon Express, 37 Asoke Din Daeng Rd.,  092-251-8661. Open Mon-Sat 5pm-midnight
