Rise above all the negative press covfefe.

While United Airlines has been in the news for all the wrong reasons lately, we shouldn’t forget their contributions to travel between Singapore and the United States. Last year, the airline inaugurated the first non-stop service between Singapore and San Francisco, and come Oct 29, they will introduce daily direct flights between Singapore and Los Angeles. Operated by United's 787-9 Dreamliners, the route measures in at a staggering 8,700 miles (14,000km), setting a new record for the longest flight to or from the United States.

Outbound flights will depart Singapore at 11am (UTC+8) and arrive in Los Angeles at 10:15am (UTC-8) on the same day with a flight time of 15 hours and 15 minutes. Inbound flights will leave Los Angeles at 8:15pm and land in Singapore at 6:45am two days later with a flight time of 17 hours and 55 minutes. With this new route, travelers will be able to save around two hours compared to United’s existing Singapore to Los Angeles service via San Francisco. The attractions of Los Angeles and Southern California need no introduction, and LAX also serves as a hub for United Airlines with connections available to cities across the US, Canada and Latin America.

All-inclusive return fares start at around $1,766. To make your bookings, head to the United Airlines website.
