The InterContinental hotel group just took over the old Sheraton in Pattaya, rebranding it the InterContinental Pattaya Resort (pattaya.intercontinental.com) and introducing the brand's Club InterContinental package. Basically, this means they block of the very best rooms at every accommodation level exclusively for Club guests, who also get a few other goodies like Club Lounge access (a room by the beach where you can have breakfast, afternoon tea and neck free cocktails from 5-7pm) and your own butler on call 24 hours. 

Rates start at B9,500 for the Club InterContinental Pavilion, which is about B3,500 more than you'd pay if you booked the room without the Club package. Or splurge on the ultimate pampering and privacy of the Baan Sai Chol Bedroom Pool Villa at B52,000.      

For more out of your stay, InterContinental also offers half-day and full-day trips to Koh Phai on a private speedboat and chartered yacht, with pick-up and drop-off right from the resort’s private beach.
