Who needs TV when you've got a turntable?

Phuket Town’s latest boutique hotel, 2Rooms Boutique House (076 354 335, goo.gl/DiQfTO), is a hipster’s dream—and it offers only two rooms.

Yes, that’s right. Designed and owned by Phuket's Dhamarchitects, those rooms are situated on the second floor of a 100-year-old twin shop-house on Soi Rommanee that was formerly an old-school coffee shop. The Sino-Portuguese shop-house stands out not only for its bright pink facade, but also its relatively shallow nature compared to others in the area. The large, suite-like rooms consist of dark blue walls, king bed and breezy balcony.

What they lack in the way of a TV, they make up for with a turntable and a set of vinyl records from the likes of The Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel and The Rolling Stones. Downstairs you’ll find popular dessert cafe Torry’s Ice cream.

The current opening promotion sees rates slashed 30 percent from B3,000 to B2,100.
