Here are the homegrown winners of this year's Asian Beer Medals.

The inaugural Asian Beer Medals were handed out at Craft Singapore 2016, rewarding the best craft beer producers from around the region across 12 categories. Singapore’s microbreweries performed admirably, picking up two golds, five silvers and three bronzes. Here are the best of the bunch.

GOLD

Brewerkz Pilsner
Crisp, clean and classically European in style, the Brewerkz Pilsner (from $6 for 375ml) is part of the microbrewery’s reliable stable of signature beers.

Little Island Brewing Co “That Old Black Magic” Dry Irish Stout
Talk about a 100% record – one shot is all Little Island needed to announce themselves on the international stage. “That Old Black Magic” ($2.40 for 100ml) is worthy of a St. Patty’s Day toast.

SILVER

Brewerkz Golden Ale
Another all-time favorite, the Brewerkz Golden Ale (from $6 for 375ml) is one of Singapore’s ultimate session beers.

Brewerkz Hoppy Monk
This limited release Belgian-style ale was made in collaboration with BIIR Modern Craft Beer from Barcelona. Its successor, the Blonde Hoppy Monk (from $6 for 375ml) is now pouring.

On Tap Wheat Beer
Proudly flying the flag for Singapore’s hawker center drinking culture, On Tap promises (and delivers) good beer at honest prices. Case in point: this traditional wheat beer ($5.50).

Paulaner Brauhaus Original Münchner Dunkel & Original Münchner Hell
No gold for historic German import Paulaner Brauhaus this time out, but their lager and dark lager (from $13.30 and $13.80 for 300ml respectively) still provide an authentic taste of Bavaria.

BRONZE

The Pump Room IPA
With the kind of party culture normally associated with Clarke Quay, it’s easy to forget that The Pump Room is still chugging along. Their IPA (from $10) is probably the best beer available when late night turns to early morning.

Other Singaporean Medallists: Brewerkz Wheat Beer and The Pump Room Golden Ale.
