A local response to the social media giant's new reactions function.

Just last week, Facebook launched its Reactions function, with emoji buttons like "Love", "Wow", "Haha", "Sad" and "Angry". While it's great that there's now more than just the generic "Like" button, we can't help but feel that the choices were a little...vanilla. So to shake things up, we've put together our top 12 unapologetically Singaporean reactions that we'd love to see happen.

When to use it: When your friend posts 200 pictures from their awesome day at Laneway

 

What is it: Catch no ball

When to use it: When your high-maintenance friend posts a cryptic, passive-aggressive post about decrying people’s lack of humanity/good manners/loyalty, et cetera

When to use it: When your frenemy humble-brags about their latest, boring professional achievement

When to use it: When you are hoping to strike it big at the Toto draw, or just the next social media giveaway

When to use it: When the MRT breaks down yet again during rush hour 

What it is: Kaypoh
When to use it: When you’re stalking a person of particular interest to you

What it is: KNNCCB

When to use it: When someone you didn’t even know was your Facebook friend posts an anti-Madonna rant

What is it: Last warning

When to use it: When Facebook drags up an unwanted memory of you getting sloshed in front of your boss at last year's office D&D

What is it: Shiok

When to use it: When you finally check in at the hottest new ramen joint after queuing for two hours 

What it is: Sian

When to use it: When your entire Facebook feed is full of gym selfies

What it is: Talk cock

When to use it: When that annoying couple makes a public declaration of mutual and neverending love on their six-month anniversary

What it is: Wah lao eh

When to use it: When your friend posts yet another picture of their new baby
