Let's start with the basics. We've eaten so much tofu that we're a little over most of the food it gets used in. But every now and then, you'll come across an interesting and unusual flavor combo that may change your mind.
Where to get it: The Southwest tofu and black bean wrap at Hard Rock Cafe, for example, is neither zi char nor salad, but a spicy, cumin-y and hearty new option that comes in in a flour tortilla. Tex-Mex fans take note.
Not only is it creamy, delicious and the backbone of guacamole, it's also one of the only foods that has all of the amino acids needed to make a complete protein and has the highest protein content of any fruit.
Where to get it: Hard Rock Cafe's new balsamic roasted carrots wrap is loaded with avocado and hummus (another good source of protein), along with roasted carrols, greens, red onions and a balsamic glaze.
This monster protein and fiber source appears in a lot of our favorite drinking foods: Mexican refried beans, bean and cheese dips, stews and, of course, the burger.
Where to get it: Hard Rock Cafe knows how to make a burger, which is why chances are, they know what they're doing with the latest addition to their list: the black bean burger for Vegetarian Awareness Month. It involves a quinoa-black bean burger patty with tofu cream, arugula and tomatoes.
