And it's pretty boozy, too.

An alternative boozy brunch market is popping up in the unlikely locale of the yacht marina tucked in Keppel Bay.

Mabuk Monkey is happening Oct 11 (11am) with a slew of cool food and drink booths, as well as the mandatory flea market and live music acts. They'll be propping up a tent (yes, complete with air-conditioning) for the ocassion, which means we'll all be under some protection from the elements. Expect food booths by the likes of Bjorn Shen's soon-to-open Thai fried chicken restaurant Bird Bird, as well as Artichoke, hefty sandwiches from Park Bench Deli, pub grub from Harry's and Gin Toon of Spice Peranakan.

The kind folks will also get you all liquored up with $5 shooters, $8 cocktails (or 3 for $20) by a yet-to-be-named bartender. But it's not all about food and drinks. There is a flea market by Good Citizen and music by DJs Fred E and Bobby Luo. The day-long affair will also have a live open mic session.

If you happen to not be able to locate the place, there are shuttle buses running from VivoCity from 11am-4pm. And just in case you want to get in on the acts, DJs and open mic candidates can email [email protected] to express their interest.
