There's a lot of development in store for the city. For one, the now defunct Robinson Silom is finally getting a facelift. And we're very excited about it.

By the third quarter of next year, Silom Center, the building on the corner of Silom and Rama 4 roads, is set to be transformed as part of a project that could push the ailing street in line with other prime central Bangkok locations like Siam and Phloen Chit.

The project, which will incorporate retail and office space, and be connected to the Sala Daeng BTS walkway, comes as part of a wave of announcements from Property Perfect and We Retail PCL that relate to huge-scale developments across the city.

Another project in Nana, dubbed Sukhumvit Center - Nana, will be a 30-floor, six-star Hyatt Regency hotel, complete with two floors of retail space. Completion is set for the end of 2017.

As for Asoke, the former Robinson under Westin Hotel will be revamped into Sukhumvit Center - Asoke, to be completed by the end of 2021.

On Ratchada Road, the West Ratchada Project will transform the former Jusco Ratchada, right by MRT Thailand Cultural Center, into Bangkok midtown LABELS, a brand-new nine-story, upscale shopping mall designed by A49. It's connected to the Phase 2 East Ratchada project, Bangkok Midtown LIVES, with completion set for 2018.

And by the end of 2019, we can expect to see the biggest new lifestyle shopping mall/serviced apartment in thesaban muang Sriracha. Dara Harbor will take over an area of 35 rai, and is set to be the biggest property in the town municipality.
