There's a week of bartending workshops coming up later in August
Classes are $68, but there's a free afterparty if you prefer your drinks mixed for you.
Cognac may sound like a drink more for your dad than for you, but it's been certainly shedding it's old man image lately. Plus, old time Cognac producer Remy Martin is doing week-long sessions regarding all things bartending in A Week with Remy Martin, with seven bars and bartenders to teach different cocktails courses Aug 29-Sep 4.
There's a little something for everyone: learn to make stiff and classic drinks at Ah Sam Cold Drink Stall, or creative and theatrical concoctions at Bitters & Love.
Other classes include using Cognac in food and chocolate, as well as a Cognac 101 with Richard Gillam, the regional trade manager of Remy Cointreau. But if you're a little like us and just like to party, head to the free official after party at new Kampong Glam cocktail bar, Fresh on Sep 4.
Classes start at $68 and run for two to three hours each.
