A seamless route linking Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park to Gardens by the Bay-CBD may be on the way

We wrote about Punggol getting its own 8.8km bicycle network and now it seems there may be plans for a seamless route linking Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park to Gardens by the Bay and the Central Business District. On Wednesday, a report by The Straits Times announced that the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) could be looking at ways improve your cycling experience by studying the 10km-long Kallang Park Connector, a path which runs from Bishan to Kallang. There are currently seven obstacles like overhead bridges, underpasses and signalised pedetrain crossings interrupting the route.

While these plans are still in its infancy, things are certainly looking up for road warriors in Singapore. If you haven't got a cool (and fast) bike, start shopping for one now – these hot wheels may be the easiest way to beat the rush hour.
