It's sort of farm-to-table (no animals, though), and there's a fruit orchard involved.

Spa Esprit and Chef Ryan Clift have been busy recently and it's got nothing to do with precious plates at Tippling Club or the elaborately homey flavors over at Open Door Policy. This time, he's busy digging the earth.

Set to open around June, Open Farm Community is a restaurant in a garden. Clift has teamed with Edible Gardens to grow sustainable and local greens and herbs on-site to supply the restaurant. There's even a fruit orchard being planted there.

The expansive space is located behind Jim Thompson on Minden Road and takes over the space formerly occupied by a golf driving range. It'll only seat about 60 people, but there will be an indoor terrace garden and lots of space outdoors, where you can play a round of lawn bowling, too. Menu-wise, all the dishes will be kept simple and pasta will feature heavily on the menu.
