This holiday season, the restaurants at Mandarin Oriental hotel have sorted out the perfect ways to celebrate the year-end festivities.
For your Christmas Eve dinner (Dec 24), indulge in the buffet at the Riverside Terrace where you can enjoy live music, fireworks and a special visit from Santa Claus (B6,000/adult, B4,150/child). Alternatively, head to Lord Jim’s for a special five-course seafood meal (B5,250) or enjoy a seven-course French gourmet feast at the romantic Le Normadie (B9,800).
Christmas Day (Dec 25) has also been taken care of with a special festive brunch at Lord Jim’s, offering a selection of Thai, Japanese and European dishes (B3,500/adult, B1,950/child). There's also a French traditional haute cuisine experience at Le Normandie for lunch (B3,500).
If you’re looking for somewhere to count down to the New Year (Dec 31), join the buffet dinner of exotic and traditional cuisine by Chef Stefan Trepp at the Riverside Terrance (B20,000/adult, B13,500/child). Le Normandie is also offering an eight-course French delicacies menu (B19,500) and Lord Jim's offers a signature seven-course menu for seafood lovers (B15,500). There are two Asian options, too: enjoy a home-style Cantonese dinner amid 1930s Shanghai decor at The China House (B8,200) or a Thai culinary buffet with live music at The Terrance Rim Naam (B13,500/adult, B6,100/child).
For the countdown itself, head over to the Author’s Lounge Garden in your best black-tie attire for cocktails and live music from the Sun Band. There’ll be spectacular fireworks overlooking the Chao Phraya River to end the year with a bang.
To kick off the new year in style (Jan 1), why not brunch at Lord Jim’s seafood buffet (B3,500/adult, B1,950/child) or enjoy a Cantonese brunch at The China House (B1,884/adult, B,1413/child). Late-risers won’t have to worry, because the hotel is also providing an all-day brunch at the Riverside Terrace (7am-3pm) where you can enjoy a selection of Mandarin Oriental’s signature dishes (B2,060 visiting guests/B1,354 in-house guests).
In keeping with the festive spirit, Mandarin Oriental is also offering a series of hampers filled with delicious holiday treats which make for the perfect gift. Choose from the Joseph Conrad (B2250), an assortment of freshly-baked goods; the Somerset Maugham (B5,999), a selection of traditional holiday treats; or the Noel Coward (B9,555), a combination of all your seasonal favorites along with exclusive Oriental 140th anniversary items.
Away from the delicious food hampers, the Oriental spa is also offering their Oriental Harmony (B2,900) and Oriental Haven (B,3,500) hampers filled with signature beauty and health products.
