Seen Restaurant and Bar

About: Avani Riverside Hotel's 26th-floor rooftop restaurant has transformed into the third global outpost of Portuguese celebrity chef Olivier Da Costa's Seen Restaurant and Bar, which can also be found in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and Lisbon, Portugal. The menu is devised by chef Da Costa himself, and his fresh and exciting take is not something you always associate with Bangkok’s many rooftop bars. There’s no beating the view, either.

Char

About: This spin-off from a Shanghai bar and grill dwells 25 stories above Wireless Road as part of a two-story rooftop complex that’s both restaurant and bar. All told, Char delivers an uncompromised, sophisticated modern steakhouse wallop with amazing views across Bangkok's "Embassy Row."

Peppina

About: The go-to for authentic Naples-style pizza, made to stringent Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana rules. Starring a tangy and pillow-soft crust, only slightly chewy with charred bits from the blazing hot oven, even the simplest pies, like the Marinara with its perfectly acidic San Marzano tomato sauce, shine—though you’d be remiss not to feast on the range of pastas and fine meats in this warm but well-polished space.

Accolades: Top Tables (2019, 2018), BK Best Eats (2018), 4 Stars (BK Magazine, Tripadvisor)

About: Overseen by one of Thailand's most decorated chefs, Tim Butler of Eat Me, Chef Lorin Janita serves feast-like food that, according to the pair, "chefs would cook for other chefs." To drink, you can expect a new wine list and an updated array of cocktails curated by sommelier Andreas Pergher and Bunker's bar team. Sold out in 2018 - early booking is strongly recommended.

Cantina Pizzeria & Italian Kitchen

About: A modern, industrial spin on Cantina Ari’s original underground wine cellar style, with exposed, rustic brick walls and archways, strings of garlic, round faux-candle chandeliers and wooden tables reminiscent of the small eateries you find scattered throughout Italy. Expect the likes of authentic Neapolitan-style pizzas, mushroom fettuccine pasta and coffee-soaked homemade tiramisu.

25 Degrees

About: US restaurant chain 25 Degrees is a self-described “bordello meets burger bar.” They also say everything here is made from scratch, including the homemade buns. Burgundy wallpaper, iconic black and white photos, and a giant checkerboard mirror make for a suitably upgraded diner setting. The burgers, too, are upscale. The most popular order is Number One, with caramelized onion, bacon, arugula, Prelibato gorgonzola and thousand island dressing.

Deal! Please note that this menu is for TWO people. And drinks are included!

Above Eleven

About: If you’re looking for some tangy small plates that aren’t your usual tapas, a 33rd-story view and stiff Pisco sours, Above Eleven hits the spot. The Japanese-Peruvian menu has a lot of raw seafood appetizers, some yakitori skewers, over a dozen maki options (plus some sushi) and some heartier mains. Portions are generous, too. Book a nice table if you can, the views are great. The food is original, the produce is quality, and the prices are decent compared to many much less inspired five-star hotel rooftops.
