Krok Emquartier

Talad Noi’s nam prik expert moves into a Phrom Phong luxury mall

Krok, the Old Town’s nam prik specialist founded by the folks at 80/20, has opened a second branch at The Emquartier.

Chefs Napol “Joe” Jantraget, Saki Hoshino and Siripon “New” Suthichoti opened their first standalone, nam prik-dedicated shophouse restaurant to critical acclaim with their laid-back approach—a stark contrast to their upscale dining experience at 80/20.

The new branch, located next to the food court in the luxury shopping mall, carries all of Krok’s well-known dips, each featuring a choice of protein, organic rice and vegetables. Favorites include the kapi grilled pork nam prik (B160), served with a generous portion of tender pork, or the dried shrimp nam prik (B180); both come with rice, pickles, vegetables and a soft-boiled egg. The charred eggplant nam prik (B120) caters to vegetarians, although you also have the option to add different proteins, like braised tofu (B70), steamed sea bass (B100) and the ever-so-tender grilled Thai wagyu (B190).

If you want to satisfy your nam prik cravings at home, you can also pick up a to-go jar here.
