Exploring reality in fiction, this talk and screening series screens The Reluctant Fundamentalist (2012) by Mira Nair, which adapts Mohsin Hamid’s novel of the same name, which is made entirely of a monologue of a successful Pakistani living in the United States before and after the 9/11 event. Screening starts at 2pm and is followed by a conversation with Phrae Chittiphalangsri from Chulalongkorn University (4:30pm). Film is in English. Talk is in Thai.
