Thai Port might have lost 1-0 to lowly 2nd division opponents Pattalung last night but they still make the final of the Toyota League Cup thanks to their 3-0 home win in the first leg. It's the second year running that they've made the final and will come as a welcome boost after a trying season that's seen their manager and some of their best players leave amidst financial uncertainity. It's still unclear who they will meet in the final, currently set for at 5pm on October 15 at Suphachalasai Stadium, as Chonburi and Buriram still need to play the second leg of their semi-final.
The normal fixture confusion has meant they only played the first leg last night with home side Buriram lucky to ermerge with a 1-0 victory scoring in the fifth minute of injury time. The second leg should be equally tight and is set to take place at Chonburi on September 30.
