The election for the Football Association finally took place today, and to no-one’s real surprise it was incumbent Worawi Makudee who was reelected with a massive majority. That was despite being named in a World Cup scandal and despite cancelling the original election at the last minute Worawi cruised to an easy win getting 123 votes compared to 44 of nearest challenger Virat Charnpanit. After thanking everyone for their support he promised to continue his drive to develop Thai football locally and internationally. The first step in success internationally is finding a new manager for the national team after Bryan Robson’s resignation and Worawi promised that the new coach would be announced in the next ten days.
