With the mid-season TPL break upon us Bangkok's clubs turn their attention to the Toyota League Cup first round this weekend. Not that there are many fixtures taking place in the capital. Still, an upset could be in the offing at Bangkok University, Rangsit as Bangkok United of Division 1 host struggling TPL opponents TOT (6pm). And Division 2 side Chamchuri United (whose manager just left for Thai Port) have a derby match against TPL big boys BEC Tero Sasana. The match starts at 6pm at the Chulalongkorn University Stadium. Thai Port, Muangthong and Bangkok Glass are all away at Ayutthaya (4pm), Singburi (4pm) and Phrae (6pm) respectively.
Not much going on on Sunday, though the main attraction in the capital would be the David v Goliath clash at Ramkamhaeng University where Kasem Bundit host runaway TPL leaders Buriram PEA at 4pm. Elsewhere Kasetsart University also host TPL opposition in the form of Osotspa-Saraburi also at 4pm.
Check back tomorrow as we take a look at how the capital’s teams are doing at the midway point of the season.
