It gives Buriram a 6 point lead over nearest rivals Chonburi whose scheduled game against Army United was postponed to give them time to prepare for the AFC Cup games this week.
In the battle for bragging rights in the capital, Bangkok Glass took the honours defeating BEC Tero 2-0 to leapfrog the Dragons and move into fourth place, all be it a massive14 points behind the league leaders. Elsewhere, it was a quiet week for Bangkok teams as Police United (third) against Muangthong United (sixth) was also postponed ahead of the Asia Cup games.
Further down the table Thai Port got a decent 1-1 away win at Chiang Rai but the Port Lions are still too close to the relegation zone for comfort after once again failing to hold onto a lead.
