After three years of restoration, the beautiful mansion that was formerly the Russian Embassy next door to W Hotel is now open. Simply named The House on Sathorn, the building is home to a restaurant, a bar, an alfresco bistro, a club lounge and a function room.

 

The Dining Room is a small restaurant helmed by Turkish chef Fatih Tutak, who previously worked at The Belbrook in Hong Kong, Nihonryori Ryugin in Tokyo and Noma in Denmark. Here, the chef takes his well-traveled background as inspiration to create dishes that, he says, narrate stories. Hunting (B790), for example, is symbolic of a European hunting day, with duck breast lying on splashes of red pomegranate sauce with burnt onion powder as gunpowder.

 

The venue also comprises The Bar, The Courtyard, which is a casual dining bistro that will soon serve afternoon tea, and the second-floor Upstairs, an exclusive club lounge.
