All matches start at 6pm unless stated otherwise.
For once all the TPL games are taking place on Saturday this weekend with three games in the capital. A kind-of-derby takes place at the Thammasat Stadium in Pathum Thani as third-place Police United host a resurgent Thai Port (NBT 11). The Port Lions – unbeaten in five matches – face a stern test away at a Police side firmly targeting second place and an AFC Cup spot. In the capital-proper, Army United face Pattaya at the Army Stadium in Din Daeng (TRUE Preview 9), and BEC Tero Sasana will just be relieved to be back at their Thephasadin home – they’ve lost their last five away games – as they entertain Osotspa-Saraburi (TRUE 161).
The biggest game involving one of the capital’s clubs is in Chonburi as Muangthong United visit the home of their traditional rivals (TRUE 102). Games between Chonburi and MTU are always keenly anticipated and Chonburi have been hastily expanding their stadium in an attempt to cope with the demand. On the pitch, Muangthong will certainly consider themselves back in the running for second spot if they can get all three points. Bangkok Glass could move as high as third if they can beat Khon Kaen in Mahasarakham (4pm, TRUE 161) and Thai Port do them a favour against Police United. The capital’s septet of clubs is completed by TOT who have to make the mammoth journey to Chiang Rai (T-Sport). In other matches, Sriracha host TTM Phichit, Siam Navy are away at Samut Songkhram and Sisaket will host leaders Buriram PEA in an Isaan derby in front of a sell-out crowd (TRUE 69).
Finally, there are three Divison 1 clubs in action in the capital, all on Sunday. Bangkok F.C host PTT Rayong at the Bangmod Stadium in Thonburi (4pm), Thai Honda play Songkhla at the 72nd Anniversary Stadium in Minburi (4pm) and Air Force play F.C Phuket at the Thupatemi Stadium in Pathum Thani.
