With Bangkok bracing itself for high tides and floodwaters this weekend, the Thai FA have decided to postopone this Saturday's League Cup Final between Buriram and Thai Port to an as yet undisclosed date. It's still not clear what TPL games are going to be played this weekend, though as we write this, Bangkok Glass' game against Sisaket and Osotspa versus Samut Songkhram have already been called off.
As things stand that means there's little action in the capital. Perhaps, slightly ironically, TOT are due to play hosts to Siam Navy on Sunday while Robbie Fowler's Muangthong are set to have a home game against Chiangrai United on the same day (both games 6pm). On Saturday Army United are away to Khonkaen, while Police United travel to Chonburi (6pm) and on Sunday BEC Tero are away at Pattaya United (6pm). More news on whether these games are going to go ahead as and when we get it.
Finally, just a quick word on Thailand's game against Saudia Arabia on Tuesday. A 0-0 draw seems dissapointing but the Elephants should be happy with a point after having to put in a spirited defensive performance against an impressive looking Saudi team. Keeper Sinthaweechai Hathairattanakool should get a special mention for some great saves. The good news is this results leaves Thailand in second with fate in their own hands. The bad news is they now need to go to Saudia Arabia and Oman and get results. The first of these challenges will take place on 11th November when they have to travel to Saudia Arabia. More on this closer to the date.
