All matches at 6pm unless stated otherwise.
The big match in the capital this weekend is in the League Cup. An intriguing quarter-final second-leg is in store as Muangthong welcome Chonburi to the Yamaha Stadium. Chonburi lead 3-2 from the first leg, so the tie is very much in the balance. The victors will meet Buriram PEA in the semis. Take an umbrella and get along to the stadium if you can: Muangthong at home to Chonburi is always a special occasion.
Just two matches in the TPL in the capital this weekend: one on Saturday and one on Sunday. On Saturday, Army United host Osotspa-Saraburi at the Army Stadium in Din Daeng (SKTV). The Greens were one of the surprise packages in the early stages of the season, but have suffered an alarming dip in form. They’re not yet safe from being sucked into the relegation zone, and Osotspa are a decent side: they outplayed Thai Port last weekend but had to settle for a draw. Army would probably be happy with a stalemate in this one as they look to inch to safety.
And on Sunday, TOT are at home to Thai Port (4pm). Low-scoring Port will be encouraged by their midweek League Cup win but they come up against a TOT which completed a shock double over Bangkok Glass last weekend when they won 3-1 at the Leo Stadium. Another draw for Port could be on the cards here.
There are long journeys into the provinces for the other BKK teams. Bangkok Glass have a daunting date at Buriram PEA on Saturday (True Sport 2); BEC Tero are at Chiang Rai on Sunday (SKTV), and Police United travel to Sisaket, also on Sunday.
In selected Division 1 matches, Bangkok FC host Air Force United at the Bangmod Stadium in Thonburi (4pm, Sat) and Bangkok United desperately need three points for their promotion chances when they welcome second-place BBCU to the Thai-Japanese Stadium on Sunday.
