Buriram keep their three point advantage at the top of the league to run out 2-1 winners, despite a spirited second half fight back from Army. The victory on Sunday means they remain three points clear of second place Chonburi. Still the Sharks are keeping up the pressure thanks to an impressive 2-0 victory over fellow title contenders BEC Tero.
Despite BEC and Army's defeats there were positive results for the other Bangkok based teams. Thai Port managed to put off field issues, relating to the ownership and financing off the club to one side, to record an important 2-1 win against SCG Samut Songkhram. A beautiful taken lob by Ekkachai Sumre and a scuffed long range effort from Thongchai Kenkuntod gave them a deserved lead but a deflected goal by SCG lead to a nervy end for the home side. It was also good news for Police Insee United who moved up into third place (above BEC) after an excellent away win at Khon Kaen FC, while Bangkok Glass registered a comfortable 3-1 home win against bottom-placed Sri Racha FC. Finally, for the Bangkok clubs, TOT managed to grab a last minute winner and continued TTM Phichit's recent poor run of form.
