Phannapast “Yoon” Taychamaythakool’s fanciful drawings graced the collections of Gucci in 2017, now she’s launched a new collection with Siam Center.

The Bangkok fashion and design scene went bananas in 2017 when word got out that Gucci was collaborating with Phannapast “Yoon” Taychamaythakool, a Thai illustrator known for her fanciful designs depicting mythical stories. Now, the world-renowned artist has teamed up with Siam Center and Citibank to launch a new collection of clothing, decor and personal items that stick true to her patented style — available at a pop-up shop on Siam Center’s G Floor. The new collection, titled “A Day in Himmapan”, tells the story of a mythical Himmapan forest and carries a deeper message about nature and the artist’s desire for humanity to reduce the use of plastic bags and other disposable materials. The new line includes a medley of different products, including facemasks, water containers, handbags, greeting cards, hats, and home decor items, among other things.

“Through these inspirations, Himmapan forest is presented with a twist, to tell the story of the ecosystem through illustrations of trees and flowers growing into animals whilst the animals are turning into trees,” said Yoon.

Citi credit card holders will enjoy a 10-percent discount when purchasing any of the items from the collection. If you spend B1,200 with your Citi card, or B1,500 for non-Citibank members, and show the receipt, you’ll  also get an exclusive decoupage fan illustrated by Yoon Phannapast, from today to Aug 16, 2020 (or until stock lasts).

The pop-up shop will be open from now until Aug 30, 2020. Check out some of the work below.
