Overview: Hidden in Ao Nang Soi 8, which sits between Ao Nang and Nopparat Thara Beach, a few meters before the new Mercure Krabi Deevana that we featured recently, Centara Anda Dhevi is another newcomer to this strip. The architecture sees a mix of Southern and Lanna decorative elements but this is otherwise your standard 135-room behemoth of a hotel, with suites up to 92 sq meters and an L-shape building hugging a rectangular pool.

Food and drinks: All-day dining, lobby lounge and a pool bar. (The food is surprisingly good—we tried the pasta.)

Spa and facilities: Centara’s own brand Spa Cenvaree has a branch here, so you can expect all the standard treatments. The highlight is the facial treatments using Jurlique products.

Good: Given the brand new building, the rates feel just right. Rooms are large and airy, and if you stay in a pool view room or pool access, you may be tempted to spend the whole day on your balcony. Though it’s located in a soi, it’s not a long walk to the main road, where you catch a taxi to Ao Nang town center or Nopparat Thara Beach. Want an alternative pampering option? Bad: The overall impression is good, if not so exciting as to differentiate it from others in the same neighborhood.
