Movies like I Fine…Thank You…Love You are the reason why GTH is, to most, the best mainstream production company when it comes to Thai films. The third effort from established comedy director Mez Tharatorn (director of 2012’s ATM Er Rak Error), isn’t just funny; it’s one of the best-produced Thai movies in a long, long time.

30 Kamlung Jaew proves that old cliches can be pretty entertaining if deployed correctly. Despite having essentially the same core elements as 30+ Sode on Sale, a movie we disliked enormously, about a 30-something woman looking for true love, 30 Kamlung Jaew is a little more impressive. Not only is it veteran director Somjing Srisupap’s (Mae Bia, 303) first film in seven years, it’s also an instance of good casting, score and production, creating a much more convincing film.
