Oriole Coffee Roasters

The recently opened third Oriole outlet is rather different from its cousins. When fully operational, it will feature a dedicated roasting facility, a research laboratory for experimenting with new beans and new methods, and a training lab. And while this is mostly off limits to the public, there is also a boutique café on site. For owner Keith Loh it’s a chance to “showcase what we can truly do with the coffee we’re roasting.” Cool coffeeshops often kickstart a neighborhood renaissance but, with two joints now within spitting distance The Plain (opened just shy of a year ago), it’s safe to say this hip corner of Chinatown has arrived.
