Nadaman
Open since the 1980s, this elegant restaurant serves up exquisite kaiseki sets ($165) and lunch set menus (from $40), and received a listing in the inaugural edition of the Singapore Michelin guide. Guests may also enjoy signature dishes such as salmon with butter and soy ($29), tuna and avocado ($19) and Inaniwa udon (cold noodles, $16.50). The interiors of the space are subtle and muted, with a warm grey color scheme throughout. Servers are thoughtful but unobtrusive. The crowd is a mix of business folk and families (who look to have been coming here for generations). And no wonder, it’s a real classic.
