A Japanese izakaya by Les Amis has opened its doors at Farrer Road.
Located at Owen Link—a quiet mall just by One Farrer Hospital—this izakaya’s surrounds might seem a little sterile. But the interior of the casual eatery is anything but. Old school Japanese posters are plastered on the walls and funky chandeliers made of sake bottles hang from the ceiling. A project by the Les Amis Group—and sister restaurant to Sushi Jin (just next door)—the place offers value-for-money meals like hiyashi chuka ramen ($12.80), cold noodles with crab meat and shredded chicken, plus a fun selection of sakes such as the fruit-infused Amabaki Blood Orange ($12 per glass; $95 per bottle).
