SHANGHAI RESTAURANT

Vue

The breathtaking view of both the historic Bund and the modern Pudong skyline give Vue its name. The Hyatt on the Bund's fine dining venue serves continental food in a beautifully decorated setting.

Opened: November 16, 2007

What: The Hyatt on the Bund reveals its last restaurant Vue, and the retro European classic cuisine served up there. That means lots of gueridons in the dining room, dishes made and finished tableside, and a straightforward, heavy hitting menu.

Look: Sky-high dining. It’s comfortable five star style with chef’s finishing stations scattered throughout. But you’ll probably be looking out of the window more than you will at the room.

Food: Tableside Caesar salad; escargot Bourguignon; Serrano ham with melon; steak au poivre; roast duck with port wine; lobster Thermidor; crêpe Suzette; pineapple flambée. It’s a nod back to the upscale dining rooms of yore.

People: High-rollers of all kinds in the restaurant, and a flood of locals and tourists who want to see the Bund from a new angle.

Bill: Three courses, without drinks, will be ¥500 per person, and up.
