KUALA LUMPUR RESTAURANT

Café Café

This is easily one of the most idiosyncratic restaurants in the city. Located in a non-descript (and yes, slightly decrepit) industrial building just a three-minute cab ride away from mammoth mall Berjaya Times Square, Café Café must be experienced to be believed. The place comes with huge, opulent chandeliers, vintage French musical posters, charming furniture and secondhand books to recreate the mood of a French boudoir, while the food is superb too. Signature dishes include truffled honey king prawns and baked lamb rack with mustard vinagrette dressing.

The decor at Cafe Cafe is definitely aiming for a French boudoir vibe thanks to the huge, opulent chandeliers, vintage musical posters, charming furniture and displays of secondhand books. Fortunately the food is superb and just as opulent. Signature dishes include duck confit with saute potato, pan fried Wagyu striploin and breast of French duck with foie gras reduction. For a treat, try the bleu 169, where you will dine on dishes like pan seared foie gras, clams in white wine, lamb racks and more.
