Tsujiri

Kyoto's 157-year-old matcha specialist opens in Bangkok.

Japan's old-school matcha specialist, Tsujiri, has arrived in Bangkok. The brand traces its origins back to the original Tsujiri in Kyoto, founded in the green-tea heartland of Uji in 1860 (though today's legendary Gion Tsujiri in Kyoto is a separate organization). Alongside good ol’ matcha in a bowl and other hot and cold green tea varieties, the menu is studded with contemporary offerings like ice-blended matcha and houjicha, floats and the star matcha soft serve. Don't miss the yuzu kakigori.

The brand traces its origins back to the original Tsujiri in Kyoto, founded in the green-tea heartland of Uji in 1860 (though today's legendary Gion Tsujiri in Kyoto is a separate organization).

Only in recent years has the brand launched a spin-off cafe and expanded internationally.

Alongside good ol’ matcha in a bowl (B145) and other hot and cold green tea varieties (from B135), the menu is studded with contemporary offerings like ice-blended matcha and houjicha (B145), floats (from B160) and the star matcha soft serve, which comes in cone (B120) or sundae (from B145) form.

There are also shaved ice and kakigori in matcha and yuzu flavors.
