Saeb Lai brings Isaan soul food to Habito mall. Run by a Vietnam-born Laotian, Thien Duc Dao, and a kitchen team of Thais and Laotians, the restaurant turns out the comforting flavors of good ol’ somtam (from B65), tom saeb (B130) and larb (from B90).

The decor blends in Thai elements with contemporary style, like Andy Warhol-inspired pop-art pictures of kratib (sticky rice boxes) mixed with Thai tartan patterns.

But there’s nothing fancy about the food here. Highlights are the flavorful grilled chicken (B270 for a whole bird) and 20 varieties of somtam, which sit on the menu alongside other full-on Isaan restaurant offerings.
