Siam Square’s dessert-oriented Once Cafe, known for its towering bowls of soft shaved ice, has opened a more grown-up spin-off in Thonglor.

Once Social Bar & Cafe puts more focus on proper meals in the form of all-day brunch dishes, salads, pastas and burgers, as well as booze, which the original branch doesn’t sell.

Currently in its soft opening, the cafe's highlight include the monstrous Egglette Towers (starting at B325) that consists of three layers of egg waffles and four scoops of housemade ice cream, and the crazy-looking Explosion beverages (starting at B185), which see everything from lemonade to milkshakes served in tall mason jars, topped with a scoop of ice cream, whipped cream, a waffle cone and cotton candy.
