She’s gone from serving her meticulous hand drip coffee (B80 for local beans/B100 for imported) from a tiny booth close to Hua Lamphong to taking over the upper floor of a parts shop in a spacious wooden house. Navigate your way past heaps of metal cogs and roller chains up to the second floor, where you’ll find a balcony filled with hanging plants and a cafe decorated with large light bulbs, bikes and a mish-mash of colorful chairs. Order an iced latte or a dark calamansi “espressonic” (both B80) paired with a mini beef stew pie (B50) or a chocolate cookie (B40) and settle into the area’s slow motion way of life.
