One of Bangkok's best bakeries opens a gelato store.
One of the best bakeries in town, Bangladesh-hailing Holey now goes beyond wonderful bread and pastries.
The new Holey Gelato shop serves Italian-style ice creams and sorbets. Italian gelato maker Jacopo Bionic, who was also behind the brand’s frozen treats at the now-defunct Dhaka shop, whips up creamy goodies in both classic flavors (think French vanilla, chocolate, lemon, strawberry, mandarin) and specialty flavors (Nutella, red wine, tiramisu, Ferrero Rocher, saffron risotto, whiskey custard) and sells them at a humble B50 or B80 a scoop.
Takeaway tubs are B300 for 0.5kg and B550 for 1kg. The stall, tucked in the Sukhumvit Soi 23 exit of Asoke’s Interchange building, carries a selection of Holey’s bread, too.
