Hinata

A tucked-away kushiyaki specialist has landed on Asoke

A tiny sub-soi off Asoke is the unlikely location for Hinata, a new kushiyaki (Japanese grilled skewers) specialist. Look out for the oversized white lantern out front, which guides you into the lively restaurant, with a compact counter bar downstairs and a more spacious seating area upstairs. Skewers are all priced between B20-40, ranging from bacon-wrapped enoki and asparagus, to cheese, squid, pork belly, beef and chicken thigh. You’ll also find larger dishes on the menu, like omu yakisoba (B120) and charcoal-grilled chicken rice bowls (B120). Wash it down with a can of chuhai (schochu highball, B90).
