China's cheese tea phenomenon arrives in Bangkok.
Move over bubble tea. Newly arrived in Bangkok, Guangzhou-born chain Heekcaa is known for topping its tea-based drinks with whipped cream cheese.
On some drinks, like the oolong tea (B90), the thick layer of frothy cheese is slightly bitter, while on others it's sweet, such as the matcha tea (B120).
There are also homegrown additions to the menu, which the owner says all had to get approval from HQ in China (where the brand is now known as Heytea), like Thai iced tea (B120), made with tea leaves grown in Southern Thailand and topped off with a pinch of foy thong.
Not a big fan of tea? They also have a mango cheese drink (B120), made with only the nam dok mai mango variety, Milo cheese (B95), cocoa cheese (B95).
