The Gardens
Chef Autumn McTaggart serves “modern French American" in a park-like setting.
After several revamps, the old Bonjour restaurant has finally waved au revoir and reopened as The Gardens. What’s new? Well, it’s one of the few restaurants in Bangkok with a female executive chef, Seattle-born Autumn McTaggart, who describes her food as “modern French American.” She says that dishes such as seared foie gras and passion fruit gastrique, red wine-braised beef short ribs and truffle oil and New York cheesecake with caramelized rum and pineapple are made using as many local ingredients as possible, including veggies from the restaurant’s garden.
