Peppina mastermind opens a pair of gelatarias. 

Paolo Vitaletti, the man who brought us Peppina, has turned his hands to gelato. Already, his new Crema company has two branches: Sukhumvit Soi 31 strictly for gelato and Siam Square One for other gluttonous goods like the bomba: Italian doughnuts filled with Nutella, cream or white chocolate. Our picks of the 18 gelato flavors are pistachio, fior di latte (milk) and fresh mango.

Already, his new Crema company has two branches. Sukhumvit Soi 31’s Crema Lab is strictly a gelateria, while over in Siam Square One is Crema Gelato & Bombe (L/G Siam Square One, 991 Rama 1 Rd., 083-096-2894), which adds other gluttonous goods like the bomba: the doughnut’s Italian cousin that comes filled with Nutella, cream or white chocolate (B89).

Our pick of the 18 gelato flavors (B89 per scoop) are pistachio, fior di latte (milk) and fresh mango. Don’t miss the Thai standard of ice cream and hot-dog bun reinvented as housemade brioche heaped with gelato (B199).
