BANGKOK RESTAURANT
Cafe Chilli (Emquartier)
A second branch from one of the city's top Isaan restaurants.
Elegantly decorated in contemporary Northeastern style, the cafe serves up staples like somtam and tom saeb (spicy soup with pork) and fusion fare with premium produce like diced salmon larb and Australian beef namtok. By street standards, the servings are small for what you’re paying, but the kitchen does a solid job, the service is smart and the ambiance is oh-so-cool.
Other branches: Central Plaza Ladprao, 02-541-1485.
Emquartier’s eighth floor has a new Isaan arrival. Like its Siam Paragon sister, Cafe Chilli serves Northeastern Thai food amid a chic contemporary decor.
Offerings range from staples like somtam (B130) and tomsaeb (spicy soup with pork, B230) to twisted fare with premium produce like diced salmon laab (B250) and Australian beef namtok (B350).
