BANGKOK RESTAURANT

Bawarchi Rooftop

Sukhumvit's sky-high Indian restaurant switches things up.

Ditch the street eats and head up to the 16th-floor for Bawarchi Rooftop.

This elegant Mughal-style dining hall is all gold hues, billowing fabric ceilings and patterned tiling, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering views over Sukhumvit.

Formerly the chicken-focused Nabah Grill & Sky Lounge, the restaurant has recently undergone a revamp. It now offers a new, wider menu of kebabs (seekh kebab, B450), tandoor grills (tandoori seabas, B750) and signature curries (Bawarchi Tawa Masala, from B360) that beg to be dipped into with some garlic naan bread (B120).

To sample it all, go for one of the extravagant 10-dish tasting menus priced from just B799.

There are also plenty of vegetarian options, such as Tandoori Malai Broccoli (broccoli and cream cheese tandoori, B350) and Bawarchi Bharwaan Paneer Tikka (B400).
